A strike from above (?)

I had the funniest epiphany the other day. (Hmmmm, that kinda sounds like something my Mom might say, minus the word Funniest.) It's about balance and stuff like that. You can't create without destroying something, or at least without taking something apart. Like you can't really build a wooden table or chair without cutting down and killing a tree. You can't sew a cotton dress without killing cotton plants and breaking them down. You can't build a stone wall without breaking up a few rocks. You can't make a knife without burning a few trees and melting down some iron (Which in turn was extracted from the Earth.)
I don't know if this works in all cases, but it's kinda interesting to think about.

  1. I had an epiphany over the summer. My thought was a look at the eternal scheme of things in a mortal life span. The preexistence was the time of our childhood, living with our parents and learning the basics of life. Now we are in our adelecence, the time when we are learning and growing in different ways and while still leaning alot on our parents, we have more freedom. The time from our deaths till the end of the millenium of peace would be kind of like college, delving deeper into enternal principals, but still relying quite a bit on our parents and not quite ready to be entirely on our own. After the final battle with evil, we will be prepared to set up our own lives as fully grown adults. It's kind of wierd and doesn't fit exactly, because as my dad says, it is immpossible for the mortal mind to comprhend the immortal mind.

  2. That's pretty cool. And not to be rude or anything, but how does your Dad know that?

  3. Maybe impossible is not the right word. He meant really, really hard.
