Revised "wake up"

I dreamed I came home
To the place I've never been,
Always remembered.

Brightly colored, deep sunshine,
And none of this black white and gray

They all knew me,
Missed me
Loved me,
In their funny hats and warm ways.

A little boy,
Like a brother,
Dragged me to a small dark house,
A restaurant with no tables.

A family arrived;
Tall father
Small mother
Sweet children,
And a solid, earthy woman
Stretched tortillas in the corner.

A sepia haze pervaded the whole place,
The people's skin and hair.

I ate familiar beans in burritos,
Comfortable with every person I came across
As the sun went down

There was a rope bridge
And a goat.
The bridge flipped over,
Turning the goat upside down.
And then it was an old man,
Unafraid and unperturbed,
Turned the bridge right side up.

I was afraid to walk across.

Wake up slowly from sleep and find yourself There

I dreamed I came home
To the place I've never been
Always remembered

Brightly colored, deep sunshine
And none of this black white and gray

They all knew me,
Missed me
Loved me
In their funny hats and warm ways

A little boy,
Like a brother,
Dragged me to a small dark house,
A restaurant with no tables

A family arrived

And a solid, earthy woman
Stretched tortillas in the corner

A sepia haze pervaded the whole place,

Comfortable with every person I came across
As the sun went down

There was a rope bridge
And a goat
The bridge flipped over
Turning the goat upside down
And then it was an old man,

Happy day unto you

'Tis Groundhog Day, this 2nd of February.
Not really very exciting until this evening when we shall watch the brilliant movie of the very same name.
Until then, today is really just a regular old Saturday; no school (yay!) but not really anything to do (boo!).
