Windows Into a Cream and Azure Sky

These are all unedited in any way.

  1. Hooray for the return of Amoniel's clouds! These are the kind that I am familiar with, the kind that an invisible hand can wipe from the sky but never from my heart.
I'm reading a novel which you must read, if you haven't already.
Ask for the acorn, why don't you?

  2. I am asking for the acorn, hand held out, palm curled to receive.

The acorn is an invitation into a living story; plant it in what soil you will, and it will grow into a beautiful invisible tree. Invisible though it is, it will breathe and sing songs of being like the legendary trees of the Limberlost. Or, if you so desire, toss it into a lake, and watch it float to the bottom. It may be forgotten, or it may grow in the soil of your imagination, where it might be more visible.

  4. Oh, and the novel you must read is The Shack, in case you haven't read it yet.

  5. I shall read it, may I ask who it's giver is?

  6. I may even be able to get it today, provided my library has it :)

  7. Ah, The Shack (which I hope you will enjoy) is not the acorn. The acorn, again, is an invitation into a living story. Here, let me present it to your open palm:
I think I am to retire from the internet in a matter of a few weeks (whether permanent or no, I know not) to embark on travels of the heart and spirit.
And I've always regarded you as a bit of what a friend used to call a 'kindred soul.' What I wonder as I prepare to undergo a sort of transformation and a sort of journey is: what does the kindred soul think of corresponding with a faraway Raven? What think you of "penfriendship?"
I write letters fairly often, but I know letter writing has become old-fashioned and odd for teens. So it'd be perfectly all right if you declined, for whatever reason. It's only a suggestion, you may do whatever you please with the acorn. :)

  8. I wish you luck in your travels.
Thank you, I think the same of you.
'Kindred Spirits' always reminds me of Anne Of Green Gables.
Funnily enough, awhile ago I had been thinking of hunting your address down, to try and write a surprise letter to you, this is much easier, and probably far less creepy :)
I think it's a phenomenal idea, I've had a few pen pals in my life, but they never wrote very much or lasted very long.
I've got a secret for you, Raven, I'm an old-fashioned sort of person, and have been for pretty much my whole life ^^
Knowing what the acorn is, I've sort of had it for awhile-ish, and it is to be planted in my heart.
Yes, I would love to become pen pals :D
(Shall I start calling you Matthew, then?)

  9. Oh joy of joys!
Ha, I would have loved a surprise letter, but this will probably prove to be much less difficult for you. :)
Thank goodness, I love the old-fashioned kind of people. They're needed in this quickly changing world to remind everyone who we once were.
I'm grateful that the acorn is to be planted in such a place, it's not the kind of acorn which can be discarded without causing a little sadness. :)
Ah, wonderful question. Well, that's what most people call me. It's a nice enough name, but it's common, and I have a bit of trouble embracing what's common. I've grown to love the names Raven, and Weaver, and Brann, and even Esprit; because they express the "uncommonness" in me. But I'll leave it up to you to call me what you wish!
And you, what shall I call you?

  10. Yes, very :)
Thank you, I am very glad you are old-fashioned too, kindred spirit.
Every gift of yours is planted there.
I've gotten so used to being called stargirl by you, I do not know, I will leave it up to you as well. I'm Bryn, Amoniel, Nemo, and, of course, Stargirl :) (And every one of them is red-lined by spellcheck ;)
