Why are people so judgmental?

  1. Because when they close their eyes to those who are, or to that which is, at all different; they feel that they may protect themselves from what may alter their "pure" selves. They are afraid of change, and are convinced that 'being different' is contagious.

    That's what I think, in short.

    I promised myself just as I was leaving to go faraway that I would remember to send you my belated thanks, and apologies for forgetting to express that gratitude, for the beautiful (round, silver) gift you gave to me. I'm awfully ashamed not to have mentioned it before; it's a treasure! I had hope you didn't feel I had ignored it, and upon returning from the trip felt a strong desire to make that right...

    We got back yesterday. I'm changed.
